Host Sara Pascoe invites 12 of Britain's most talented home sewers to compete in creating beautiful garments from scratch in a bid to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young as they search for Britain's Best Amateur Sewer. Over 10 weeks, the sewers tackle everything from creating a capsule wardrobe to making children's Halloween outfits and turning garden hammocks into summer garments during challenges designed to test every aspect of their sewing skills, but only one can be crowned winner.
