The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer Series 3
The Great British Bake Off returns with five special Stand Up to Cancer episodes. In each episode, four different celebrities join hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding. They’re all aiming to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills, but only one celebrity each week will be awarded the coveted Star Baker apron. On your marks, get set, bake for Stand Up to Cancer!
The first four celebrities ushered into the Bake Off Tent are broadcaster Louis Theroux, comedians Jenny Eclair and Russell Howard, and athlete Ovie Soko. The first challenge is a giant biscuit, followed by a classic bake for the Technical, then a tough Showstopper challenge – a choux sculpture depicting the celebrity’s perfect day.
In the second episode, Hollywood actor Richard Dreyfuss, actors Patsy Palmer and James Buckley and TV personality Scarlett Moffatt face three tough challenges set by judges Prue and Paul: roulades for the Signature Challenge, a tricky Technical, and then they are tasked with making their favourite place in cake form for the Showstopper Challenge.
In the third episode, fashion designer Tan France, actor Caroline Quentin, comedian Joel Dommett and tennis player Johanna Konta make classic eclairs for their Signature Challenge, attempt puff pastry for the Technical and recreate their biggest fears in cake form for the Showstopper Challenge.
Singer James Blunt, TV presenters Alison Hammond and Alex Jones, and YouTuber Joe Sugg try to impress the judges in the fourth episode with traybakes for their Signature Challenge, a classic British staple for their Technical and finally an impressive biscuit scene depicting what the celebrities wanted to be when they grew up.
In the fifth and final episode of the series, TV personality Carol Vorderman, radio presenter Kelly Brook, TV judge Rob Rinder and comedian Mo Gilligan tackle some tricky challenges – a Signature sandwich biscuit, a sweet bread-based Technical, and a cake Showstopper revealing their favourite guilty pleasure!
