The Great British Sewing Bee Series 5

Comedian Joe Lycett welcomes sewers from all walks of life, including an engineer, a grandmother and an ex-soldier, to Series 5 of this stitching talent contest. They are joined by returning judges Patrick Grant, a Savile Row tailor, and Esme Young, film costume maker and senior lecturer at Central St Martins Fashion College.

Over eight weeks the sewers tackle tricky tailoring, outfits for canine companions, iconic 70s fashion and exquisite dresses for every occasion. They need to prove they can make everything from a swimsuit to a strapless evening dress... but only one can be crowned the winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2019.
