The Lost Lotus: Restoring a Race Car

Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead return for a one-off special of For the Love of Cars. This time the boys decide to restore a Lotus Elite, a classic of 1950s British motoring and the first road car designed and built by Formula 1 genius Colin Chapman. The heat is on as the team aim to bring the car up to racing standard in time to enter the Tourist Trophy at Silverstone – the biggest classic car race of the year. Includes interviews with racing legend Nigel Mansell and famous jazz musician Chris Barber, who first owned the car being restored.
