The Great British Sewing Bee Series 1

From the producers of The Great British Bake Off, this four-part series for BBC Two sees amateur sewing enthusiasts face three challenges each week in a bid to be named Britain’s best home sewer. Ranging in age from 28 to 81, the eight contestants must make everything from a shirt to a spectacular evening dress to stay in the running. Their creations are judged by Women’s Institute teacher May Martin and Savile Row tailor Patrick Grant. Interspersed with the action are historical gems about Britain’s sewing heritage, plus simple step-by-step sewing tips for viewers.
