With an estimated 800,000 homeless people in the UK, Home Is Where The Heart Is sees four celebrities each invite a homeless person to stay in their home to see if they can help turn their life around. Over a two-week period, the cameras follow the different experiences in the four households, with the ‘hosts’ taking different approaches to helping their guests find a life beyond the streets, ranging from regimes of tough love and work experience to the softly-softly and encouraging.
