The Biggest Little Railway in the World

5 x 60' Sunday 7th January Channel 4

A team of 56 model railway enthusiasts and engineers led by Dick Strawbridge attempt to do what our Victorian forbears could not – build a railway connecting Fort William with Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. The only difference is they are doing it in miniature, building the longest model railway in the world at 71 miles.

The Victorians gave up because the terrain was simply too challenging and inhospitable for railway building, but our modern day navvies are unperturbed. For 12 days they must camp by the track as it extends across Scotland - crossing rivers and scaling mountains as they devise engineering solutions to anything the Highlands can throw at them.

The Great Christmas Bake Off 2017

1 x 60' Monday 25th December 2017 Channel 4

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, as Sandi Toksvig, Noel Fielding, Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith gather in the tent for a Traditional Family themed Bake Off, which sees the reunion of two of last years most loved bakers, Val and Selasi. King of the Jungle bread man Paul Jagger (series 6) and Beca Lyne-Pirkis (series 4) will also join the festive fight for the Christmas Star Baker title. With none of the returning bakers ever winning the coveted Star Baker accolade during their time on Bake Off, the competition is on for one of them to finally clinch the Christmas crown.

The challenges have a comforting theme of Christmas nostalgia, featuring a swirly sponge signature, a deceptively simple technical and one of the trickiest showstoppers to ever feature on Bake Off.
