  • Host Joe Lycett welcomes four celebrity guests to the sewing room for this special Christmas episode of the amateur sewing series. Denise Van Outen, Shirley Ballas, Dr Ranj Singh and Sara Pascoe put their sewing skills, or lack of them, to the test, competing in three challenges set by judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young. 

    Who will sew up chaos in the sewing room and who will create garments worthy of taking centre stage at Christmas?

  • In the second of two Christmas Specials, host Joe Lycett welcomes four more celebrities to the sewing room – The Vivienne, Lesley Joseph, Sabrina Grant and Sally Philips. In a bid to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young, the celebrity sewers will make a child’s party skirt in the pattern challenge and turn old clothes into a recognisable pantomime character in the transformation challenge. Finally, for the made to measure challenge they are asked to create a New Year’s Eve party dress that evokes memories of a particular New Year’s Eve, with surprising results.

    Whose sewing skills will glitter like sequins to win them the best celebrity sewer accolade?

    Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith are Matt Lucas are joined by Bake Off: The Professionals host Tom Allen as they celebrate Christmas in the famous white tent. Also invited to the celebrations are Jamie and Rosie from 2019, Ruby from 2018 and James from 2017, all back and ready to battle in the festive fight for the Christmas Star Baker title. They’ll round off Christmas with popstar Alexandra Burke as she performs her magical version of “Silent Night”.

    The search for the best patisserie team in Britain begins tonight with Liam Charles and Tom Allen welcoming teams of pastry chefs hailing from hotels and businesses in Manchester, Milton Keynes and London. As always, they face two days of testing challenges judged by two world class patisserie experts, Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

    The hunt to find Britain’s best amateur sewer is back, and it’s bigger than ever. In Series 6, 12 passionate amateurs from all walks of life, including a grandmother, a dancing student and a paramedic, are pitting their talents against each other in the sewing room.

    Host Joe Lycett welcomes the sewers to an old tannery loft in the heart of Bermondsey, South London. He’s joined by the judges; film costumier and Central St Martin’s lecturer Esme Young and Saville Row tailor Patrick Grant.

    The judges have tricky challenges up their sleeves and over ten weeks the sewers tackle difficult tailoring, food shaped fancy dress, 80s cocktail dresses and beautiful outfits for every occasion. Their skills need to stretch from rugby shirts to flamenco skirts…but only one can be crowned winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2020.

    The Great British Bake Off returns with five special Stand Up to Cancer episodes. In each episode Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are joined by four different celebrities. They’re all aiming to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills, but only one celebrity each week will be awarded the coveted star baker apron. On your marks, get set, bake for Stand Up to Cancer

    The Great Festive Bake Off sees Noel, Sandi, Prue and Paul welcoming brand new bakers to the festive tent for the first time, in the form of the Derry Girls star cast.

    Baking up some New Year’s inspired bakes, and competing for the coveted Star Baker title are Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Nicola Coughlan, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Dylan Llewellyn and Siobhan McSweeney.

    Together they’ll see in the New Year with London Community Gospel Choir.

Working with volunteers and scientists from across the UK, this series shines a light on the latest scientific evidence when it comes to bringing down your biological age, managing stress, beating pain, and sticking to a healthy diet.
