The Great British Bake-Off | Series 1

6 x 60' on BBC Two

In a series which celebrates Britain’s love affair with baking, the search is on for the country's top home baker.

Ten passionate bakers travel the country and each week undertake three challenges in a different discipline, after which the least successful leave the bake-off. They’ll be baking cakes in the Cotswolds, tackling biscuits in Scotland, bread in Sandwich, Kent, puddings in Bakewell, Derbyshire, and pastry in Cornwall before a grand final in London.

Their baking is judged by renowned cookery writer Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, one of Britain's Master Bakers.

A second series is planned for Summer 2011.
