18th December 2013 - FGM inquiry launched to uncover reasons for lack of prosecution in UK - The Guardian

After constant pressure from campaigners including Leyla Hussein, the home affairs select committee will examine if the legal framework is fit for purpose and they will also look into why there hasn’t been a prosecutions in three decades.

Following the airing of The Cruel Cut Leyla now has over 94,000 signatures. She states that the battle is failing because "multi-agency guidelines are not statutory, implementation at local authority and NHS level is disjointed, funding is minimal, and nobody is monitoring or holding anyone to account"

Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira hated each other.

Keane described himself as being “in a war with Vieira”.

Vieira described Keane as “my favourite enemy”.

Their infamous tunnel bust up in February 2005 has entered folklore. On the pitch they fought, off the pitch they tried to fight.

Judges Patrick Grant and May Martin reunite with the show's semi-finalists Stuart, Sandra and Lauren and winner Ann to pool their experience and talents to make everything from Christmas table linen to exquisite tree decorations. Ann demonstrates how to create a teddy bear, Stuart produces a tweed satchel, Sandra puts together a gardening belt and Lauren constructs a fabric doll's house. As they sew, they all share stories of their own family Christmas traditions.
